Who should take Advance Open Water course?

Open Water Divers who are at least 12 years old are ready to step up and enrol in an Advanced Open Water Diver course.

It is most noteworthy that young divers may only participate in certain Adventures Dives to a maximum depth of 21 mtrs – check with your Instructor.

But for the 15 yrs old and overs it allows you to reach the 30 mtr maximum depth and on the amazing Zenobia Wreck, the ultimate dive 🙂

Maybe you are already an Adventure Diver, hence you only need to complete two more Adventure Dives to earn the full Advanced Open Water.

What will you learn?

You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives.

There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – and you choose the other three depending which package you go for, a total of five amazing and exciting dives.

During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving and the subject we are covering on that particular dive.

The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.

The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more even introduction to Nitrox.

You may be able to get college credit for the Advanced Open Water Diver course.

How can you start learning now?

Contact us with you needs, timetable of availability and we will assist you to make the most out of your time.

What scuba gear will you use?

You’ll use specialised gear depending on the Adventure Dives you choose but you will dive in an amazing X-Deep wing.

For example, you’d obviously use a dry suit for the Dry Suit Adventure Dive or a side mount configuration during the Side Mount Adventure Dive.

Your Instructor will explain the equipment that you need and may suggest additional gear, such as dive light for instance.

Visit our diving centre to learn more about the gear you will need to start your adventures in the Advanced Open Water Diver course.
