What is MUSAN?
Opened in 2021, MUSAN is the Mediterranean’s first underwater museum.
Designed by internationally renowned underwater sculptor and environmental artist Jason deCaires Taylor, the site features 93 sculptures arranged as an underwater forest on a sandy seabed at a depth of approximately 9 metres.
Every sculpture has been designed to encourage marine growth, transforming the museum into a living artificial reef that continues to evolve year after year.
